Super Simple Granola

A few days ago I posted a quick Strawberry Vanilla Parfait recipe on Instagram. It is seriously one of my all-time favorite go-to snacks and on-the-go meal. While I was in San Diego last week, I ate one everyday for breakfast, because it’s just SO fast and easy!

 

Greek yogurt is one of my favorite healthy ingredients –and making a simple parfait with some yogurt, simple homemade granola, and some fruit is such an easy meal idea AND it’s full of protein! Each cup of non-fat Greek yogurt packs at least 20 grams of protein! That’s a win in my book! I love layering the yogurt with granola and fresh cut fruit for a satisfying treat for breakfast, a snack, or even as dessert!

 

Personally, I LOVE to make my own granola so that I can control exactly how it tastes. I’m not a fan of super sweet granola — so I like that I can use a little less sugar than most store-bought brands…and I LOVE lots of cinnamon — so you bet I pour that cinnamon on there heavy!

 

The best part about this recipe is that you can totally make it your own! Feel free to tweak this recipe to make it perfect for you! Try adding some dried fruit like raisins or cranberries, or different nuts — you could even try adding some dried coconut! <– That’s one of my favorite additions!

It’s a great way to have your complex carbs and make sure you aren’t having any processed sugars!
